The term, Loft, refers to the
open partly-unenclosed area that is usually on
the second floor of a log home. The Loft
overlooks a section of the lower floor and typically
has a railing. Although many log homes have traditional
rooms on the second floor, a Loft
is typically included too. The Loft is often used
as a lounge, office, or overfolow bedroom.
